Lee’s Research

Lee is a doctoral candidate in the University of Oregon’s Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures. He has worked the The Economist  and published in That’s PRD .

Before he started the PhD program, he and another friend received a grant from Outside Magazine to hitchhike the Silk Road in China. He kept a blog, which he published here:


Lee’s research is focused on ethnic issues and museums in China. Lee is currently writting a dissertation focused on interpreting museums and monuments in and around China and the way in which they construct Chinese identity.
